Home

Career, progress, success and responsibility,

life moves on without sympathy.

Assuming forms of pretense and gentility,

hoping for the world to see.

When deep inside the unadorned churl,

his true nature would unfurl.

The business of duplicity,

the bailiwick of society?

But no, simplicity,

he.

Shards of sudden memories; old loves lost, fair maidens and young man,

haunt the still haze of familiar demand.

Life's clamour leaves little time to ponder,

what it might have been yonder,

For he and she and all of them,

who's life went forfeit on a whim.

Short they loved us,

and we them.

Return we bid,

again.

Large we live on borrowed time; devouring food not ours.

Bound to act the part we chose; with all the pain and scars.

Within the arms of cameraderie,

brotherly love and kindness be.

Free to give, take, live and breath,

in Father's kingdom He bequeaths.

Seeking that omnipotent throne,

of wisdom, flesh and bone.

Help us find the way,

home.
