San Francisco Weekend

I had a conference to attend in San Francisco and I was able to convince Christine to come along for a couple of days before. We went sight seeing and as many times as I'd been to San Francisco, I'd never gone up over the Marin side of Golden Gate Bridge to see the back side. This was the most memorable place for me that we visited. There is an old military base with buttresses and cannon forts all over the mountain. I thought this was a particularly stunning view and took a panoramic. I thought it a bit strange that they would take such a beautiful place and turn it into a military base... But, we sure enjoyed this little weekend. Christine and I went down and did the 17 mile drive where Pebble Beach and a bunch of other famous golf courses are located. I was wishing I had brought my clubs and then thought about how expensive the green fees would be and didn't feel too bad. It seemed further away than the last time we went there when Jenny was with us and just a toddler. It was pretty cold so we didn't stay anywhere too long, especially on the beach. Yes, even I was cold. But then, I only had a T-Shirt and shorts on.
